Virtual Power Plants

September 12 @ 5:30 pm 7:30 pm PDT

Virtual Power Plants Flyer

Special guest Alexandra McGee

Virtual power plants are an emerging and innovative tool to aid California’s clean energy transition. Join us to learn how virtual power plants work and how they can reduce a home’s carbon footprint while saving its residents money and making energy cleaner and more reliable for everyone. This exciting technology developed by MCE has been implemented in Richmond, CA, and serves as a blueprint for other communities.

Our speakers, Alexandra McGee, who is the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at MCE, & Chris Sentieri, of CEER Resources, will explain how virtual power plants will benefit all residents, including those who have borne the brunt of environmental impacts due to the industrialization of our society’s energy supply. They will also demonstrate how this technology will ensure grid reliability during extreme weather-related events while promoting equitable access to clean energy solutions. There will be time for Q&A.
